Dreams Come True

To Pursue our dreams, we should have an internal positive drive to do the best we can. In tough times, an encouraging energy, that pushes us to work, to achieve our goals successfully, making us feel optimistic and enthusiastic, a platform to discover our inner hidden talent, is popularly known as our inner motivation.

Every sunrise brings fresh thoughts along with a new start. Our inner self conscience is our best friend, guide and motivator, which is the key and star factor to achieve our goals. Different people need various types of motivations for majority money is motivation, for some credits and appreciations and few require promises and many more differing from person to person subject to requirement and circumstances.

Sources of motivation can be family, friends, elders, teachers, employers or any person in any situation. Motivation plays a very important role in everyone’s life. They provide the power to chase our goals and energy to work consistently to obtain them. It is a personal call combining passion with persistent effort and resilience. A strong desire for self-satisfaction to achieve a purpose, the courage to overcome failures. Behind every success, achievement progress, is a strong pillar called Motivation.

Keeping our eyes and ears wide open, we see so many people by whom we get motivated. When we see people around us suffering, or rather living in pitiable conditions, we feel God has places us in much more good situations, with minimal bearable miseries and thus we feel blessed. We see poor children struggling hard, studying under street lights. Day time they try to earn livelihood to support their family. They thrive on leftover foods, leave alone healthy food. They undergo so much of pain, agony, discomforts, humiliation, helplessness etc still they strive hard to study. What is their motivation? Their motivation is to get educated, secure good stable job, bring out their families from poverty and give the best to their generations to come isn’t this inspiring us?

A classic example is of Adiba Anam- daughter of a rikshaw driver- Maharashtra’s first Muslim woman, to pass UPSC exam and to become an IAS officer, securing all India rank 142 in 2024. After 3 failed attempts, hailing from Yavatmal district. Her journey highlights immense resilience, grit and determination to achieve her goal despite her family background. It just showcases her perseverance and dedication. It was a Historic and a proud moment, she successfully fulfilled her dad’s dream we learn that failure is just a bruise, not a permanent tattoo.

Another unbelievable example is of a woman in a small village in rural India. At the age of 50 she faced the most painful and traumatic phase of her life. She lost her inly son. Just imaging this, shattering tragedy, sends shivers down our spinal cord. She did something very meaningful. She set up a free school for 200 underprivileged children, which required courage and determination. Those children did not have books or future. Today the same children sit in clean classroom, learn with joy and dream of a brighter tomorrow. “She often says “I lost my son, but I see him in these children” For her, school is not just education it is about healing, love and giving every child a chance to fly high. This example teaches us to make, the best of our life.

An unslipabe example of Avni Lekhara “first Indian to win a Paralympic gold medal” Avni was just 11 years, when a car accident left her paraplegic. Her father encouraged her to try sports. She found her passion in a rifle shooting. Patience is the key to success. She created history in 2021 – gold medallist in rifle shooting in women’s 10 meters. She also won bronze in 50 meters. Did her physical disabilities deter her? Instead, she defended her title, made wonders earned merit and admiration.

We want certain things to happen, wish them to happen but determination combined with motivation make it happen. When life gives us 100’s of reasons to breakdown and cry we should show life that, we have thousands of reasons to smile, laugh be happy and strong. We should live the lives of our dreams, as per our visions and purpose, instead of opinions and expectations of others. “Where there is a will there is a way”.

  • The heights I seek:
  • I wish to scale the heights I seek
  • No elements can make me feeble and weak,
  • Ambitions in heap,
  • With my confidence deep,
  • Will take a big leap,
  • Fruits of hard labour to reap,
  • And reach the mountain peak.
